Paragraph About Leisure / Paragraph About Pastime

Leisure is the time when we are free and as such do not have anything to do seriously or obligatorily. Leisure is different from routine work in the sense that one can spend leisure by way of doing anything voluntarily, while one needs to do routine work obligatorily. In doing routine work, one’s liking or disliking matters little. S/he has to do any work whatsoever somewhat mechanically without caring for pleasure or fascination. We need leisure because we need to have a change of work. Or else, monotony will seize us doing one and the same work all the time. Leisure benefits us in many ways. It provides us with the opportunities of rest and reaction. It helps us get rid of our monotony, makes us feel refreshed and active enough to do our routine work with renewed energy and enthusiasm. We can make the best use of our leisure by having resort to some work with delightful beauty and may prove beneficial in two-fold ways, i.e. both emotionally and financially. For example, we can make gardens to grow flowers that will please us with delightful beauty and sweet fragrance on the one hand and bring us money by selling flowers on the other. However, leisure is often abused by way of gossiping, gambling, playing cards and doing other wasteful deeds.
